FDR's Availability to the Press

FDR held nearly 1000 press conferences during his presidency. From LIFE Magazine, February 13, 1939:

"Every Tuesday and Friday, 50 to 200 Washington correspondents herded into the oval Presidential office in the executive wing of the White House to match wits with President Roosevelt at one of his regular press conferences."

It seems this admin. has sought to berate and/or exclude everyone who might question, have concerns, or simply disagree with their policies.

So much so, it's just plain scarey to contemplate the "think tanks" and "brainstorming sessions" that have led to the present circumstances...

There's only a few admins that ever came close to what FDR's did. I can't kill Bush for that. There's other things to bash him on.

Fair enough T. But even FDR aside, can't think of any admins that have made the P less accessible than the current one
