Rendition Behind Bogus Intel

The New York Times reports on a failed rendition. Ibn al-Shaykh al-Libi was secretly handed over to Egypt for questioning. There he gave up false information about an Iraq/Al-Qaeda link which was thrown back to the administration to use in their sales pitch for the Iraq invasion. It's bad enough that rendition is a shallow attempt to suborn questioning tactics that are illegal domestically. How do its supporters justify it when it spews out intel that embarrasses the President?
